Cape Canaveral Saltwater Fishing

Whether it's inshore or nearshore, there's a fish here for you!

INSHORE FISHING

Ponce de Leon dubbed this land “Cabo Canaveral”, as we call it Cape Canaveral, and we’re lucky enough to have some of the best fishing on the east coast! The Mosquito Lagoon and Indian River Lagoon, which is also known as the Redfish Capital of the World, is nestled directly in the heart of the Florida Space Coast. This is where world class sport fish, such as Redfish, Snook, Tarpon, and Sea Trout call home. Often called the Redfish Capital of the World, the Indian River Lagoon, Mosquito Lagoon, and Banana River Lagoon are on anyone’s radar that wants a shot at a massive Bull Red.

NEARSHORE FISHING

While Cape Canaveral has quite a few ideal spots inshore, the nearshore fishing is just as much on fire. There’s a ton of wrecks, reefs and ledges that are home to Barracuda, Jacks, Snapper, King Mackerel, and various species of Grouper. You don’t have to go far off-shore for a quality bite, as there’s a good handful of reefs and wrecks within viewing distance of the shoreline!

Don’t be surprised if you see a school of Tarpon cruising the shoreline, either! If you do, get ready to hang on for the ride of your life!
