When it comes to Florida freshwater fishing, Black Crappie Fishing comes soon after bass fishing. Crappie, or Speckled Perch, are a lot of fun to catch, and very abundant in the lakes around the Disney World area!

Weighing up to 3-3.5lbs in Florida, it’s not uncommon to break the 2-pound mark. Lake Toho is absolutely one of the top fisheries in the state, and is full of 10-13″ fish. Jigging and live bait fishing is a great way to entice a bite while picking your spots in the lily pads and other vegetation.

In addition to Crappie, Florida has a wide variety of other panfish that are readily available to target, such as Bluegill and Shellcrackers (also known as Red-Eared Sunfish). These are aggressive little fish that pack a tasty bite when they hit the frying pan.

Using a variety of artificial jigs and grubs, as well as live bait like worms, crickets, and even small grass shrimp when they are available, you can catch a decent limit. These panfish generally prefer pretty specific areas of water, so it’s not too hard to find them, if you’ve got a knowledgeable guide like Capt. Tony Summers.

  • The captain has the discretion to decline 4th angler.
  • The captain may postpone trip due to poor weather conditions or other reasons at his discretion.
  • You will be contacted two days prior to the day of the trip to finalize the charter details.
  • A full refund will be issued for all trips canceled with at least four days notice.

  • Refunds will be issued at Captain’s discretion when a trip is canceled with less than four days notice.

All fishing tackle will be provided for you. Quality gear that you can count on to perform for you under any circumstance. If you have any fishing lures that you’d like to use, please feel free to bring them with you!

TRANSPORTATION

In addition to being able to meet at the boat ramp, I can provide free transportation to/from most Orlando area hotels and resorts to make your day as convenient as possible. Further pick-up/drop-off may require a small fee.

WANT LIVE BAIT?

Wild Shiners are a specialty from time to time, and it’s one way to hook the bass of your dreams! While we do specialize in artificial lures, there’s always room for a live bait on the end of your hook for an add-on cost!
