Also known as Lake Ocklawaha, Rodman Reservoir is an artificial reservoir that boasts some of the best bass fishing in the world! While it sustains through tremendous angler pressure, you can go there with the potential to catch bass up to and beyond 15lbs, if you’re throwing the right lures.

Developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers back in 1968, this premier fishery encompasses about 10,000 acres, depending on the level of the water. While giving home structure to countless fish, it’s also a great scenic environment to experience alligators, turtles, Bald Eagles, various waterfowl, and other sights for animal lovers.

The Rodman Reservoir is fed by the Ocklawaha River, which is ultimately run off from Silver Springs and the Harris Chain of Lakes. There’s a ton of fresh water coming, and it makes for a great, healthy body of water for optimal growth. Truly an “Old Florida” area, although it’s man-made, it is still vastly under-developed and for the benefit of the environment. Seemingly miles of decayed timber, giant mats of hyacinths and other vegetation, and of course that creates a stellar home for Largemouth Bass, as well as a variety of panfish!

Reservation requires a $100 deposit.

**Lunch is provided for the Sun Up to Sun Down trips, depending on location and availability.

  • The captain has the discretion to decline 4th angler.
  • The captain may postpone trip due to poor weather conditions or other reasons at his discretion.
  • You will be contacted two days prior to the day of the trip to finalize the charter details.
  • A full refund will be issued for all trips canceled with at least four days notice.

  • Refunds will be issued at Captain’s discretion when a trip is canceled with less than four days notice.

FISHING TACKLE

All fishing tackle will be provided for you. Quality gear that you can count on to perform for you under any circumstance. If you have any fishing lures that you’d like to use, please feel free to bring them with you!

TRANSPORTATION

In addition to being able to meet at the boat ramp, I can provide free transportation to/from most Orlando area hotels and resorts to make your day as convenient as possible. Further pick-up/drop-off may require a small fee.

WANT LIVE BAIT?

Wild Shiners are a specialty from time to time, and it’s one way to hook the bass of your dreams! While we do specialize in artificial lures, there’s always room for a live bait on the end of your hook for an add-on cost!
